Removing Grass

Removing Grass from around your fruit trees, shrubs and flowers can be a tedious job. Here are some tips I've learned for making the job a little easier.

1. I like to do my digging, planting, and pulling after a rainy day. The soil is soft, and the ground is easier to work with especially when pulling weeds or grass.

2. Using the right equipment : When pulling up grass it's very important that you don't dig too deep into the ground, you want to try and get and even layer from the top surface by using a spade shovel. Spade shovels have a pointed top which makes it easier to scrap  grass without leaving lumps and clumps.

3. Replanting flowers : If the area where you plan to permately remove grass and you have some flowers in that area, try your best to uproot them and replant them, be careful and gentle has you dig them up.

4. Get some type of weed prevention control : You can buy this in seed form, mulch or a spray, also try to get one that won't harm your flowers, I'm going to try a product called  PREEN this year, stay tune for the results.

5. Last but not least, take your time, it may seem like alot of hard work, but you will be rewarded with results, it makes your lawn and yard look neat and clean, removing grass from around your trees, scurbs and flowers will give you a more pleasent looking lawn.
