Growing Yummy Carrots

Carrots are one of my favorite snacks, they remind me of eating potato chips except they are orange and healthy. You don't even have to start these beauty's off as a seed, all you need is the carrot tops.
Simply cut about an 1inch off at the top of the carrot , (you should see greenery or a little plant like foliage at the tip of the carrot,) then place them in a small container of water for about two weeks, you will notice the plant at the top will begin to grow, after that you should be ready to plant you carrots with compost or a really good potting mix. I decided to plant mines in a large pot(although it's best to plant them directly in the ground for large carrots) so I'll probably get baby carrots. They take about 65-80 days to grow and depending on the time you plant them you should get an abundant haverst in the fall =)
